Native American Oppression

Within the texts weve adopt so far this semester, each author has described the lives and actions of these commonwealth in very drastic and different lights. To some, the natives were cruel and flushed animals, non even considered human, while to others they were a submissive and docile infrastructure who could easily be taken advantage of. This constantly perish shift perception of the Native Americans lead to the stereotypes that those colonizing the Americas began to spread; that of a primitive, violent, and put down intellect group of concourse who set-aside(p) their New manhood. Mary Rowlandson, an immigrant to the colonies, was a mother and a ministers wife dungeon peacefully in the town of Lancaster when her family was savagely mur dered and she was taken hostage by her attackers as ransom. In A Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration, Rowlandson depicts her living during her time of get hold of and we see how her characterization of these people changes over time.
